Webinar Title: Naming the Harm and Meeting the Unmet Mental Health Needs of Forced Marriage Survivors in the U.S. 

 Host: Tahirih Justice Center Forced Marriage Initiative 

 Description: The Forced Marriage Initiative is excited to host a webinar alongside Dr. Neha Batool, an expert on the mental health impacts of forced marriage. During this webinar, Dr. Batool will highlight her own original research findings about women's experiences with forced marriage. There will be an emphasis on understanding women's psychological wellbeing prior to, during, and after forced marriage. Short-term and long-term mental health challenges related to attachment styles, identity development, gender socialization, and intergenerational influences will be discussed. Mental health professionals, social workers, advocates, and case managers are encouraged to attend, and anyone with an interest in better understanding the psychological impact of forced marriage.
