The Responding During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Information for Greater New Orleans Service Providersresource guide is a working document to support service providers in the Greater New Orleans region during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In this document we discuss the ripple effects this pandemic may have on our clients and communities. We provide information about disaster response for service providers, and offer resources for clients in the Greater New Orleans region to support case managers as they serve our community. This is a living document available for public view on Google drive, and will be updated regularly as information emerges about resources in our community. It is also available for PDF download.

Opening Doors: Louisiana Human Trafficking Survivor Housing Report

The Opening Doors: Louisiana Human Trafficking Survivor Housing Reportis an assessment of survivor housing options in Louisiana. The project focuses on social service organizations and programs that provide housing to vulnerable populations (including but not limited to: human trafficking survivors, people experiencing homelessness, at-risk or system-involved youth, people living with addiction, domestic violence survivors, sexual assault/sexual violence survivors, and immigrants) in Louisiana. The housing report was created by integrating survey data of three primary stakeholders in the housing process: housing providers, housing advocates, and trafficking survivors. “All Work, No Pay” Outreach Pamphlet

This “All Work, No Pay” outreach pamphlet includes a simple explanation of human trafficking, and provides resources for people in the Greater New Orleans community who are seeking services or assistance. This campaign affirms the Task Force’s commitment to inclusive, trauma-informed awareness materials that employ images expressing a diverse range of identities, ages, and work environments. This pamphlet is available in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Spanish, Thai, and Vietnamese. To access the file in each language, click the language listed above.

These materials were created in partnership between several GNOHTTF sub-committees, and were reviewed by the GNOHTTF Survivor Advisory Board .

 

“Hidden In Plain Sight” Awareness Poster

This “Hidden in Plain Sight” Awareness Poster is part of the “All Work, No Pay?” Awareness Campaign. This campaign affirms the Task Force’s commitment to inclusive, trauma-informed awareness materials that employ images expressing a diverse range of identities, ages, and work environments. This poster is for the general public’s awareness of human trafficking. These materials are available in 7 different languages including: English, Spanish, French, Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, and Arabic. If you would like to request these materials with specific language paired with a specific demographic depicted (age, gender, workplace, race, etc) please visit the Contact Us page to submit a request. This campaign is committed to representing a wide variety of vulnerable populations in a trauma-informed way that avoids sensationalism.

Louisiana Quick Reference Housing Guide

This Louisiana Quick Reference Housing Guide is a simple diagram to show which housing providers can take which demographics of survivors. This is a tool to streamline the housing process for clients who aren’t sure which programs they qualify for. This was created as part of the Louisiana Human Trafficking Survivor Housing Resource Guide. Published November 2018.


Louisiana Human Trafficking Survivor Housing Resource Guide

This Housing Resource Guide includes in-depth information on 18 housing providers across Louisiana who have committed to serving victims/survivors of trafficking. Additionally, this guide includes a safety planning section and additional resources. This guide can be used by advocates or survivors, with tips and support for the different perspectives of individuals using the guide. Published November 2018.


Victim Rights Statement

This Victim Rights Statement was created to provide an example list of expectations that victims/survivors can expect from providers. This also provides an outline of victims’ rights as a victim of a crime. This statement was reviewed by the GNOHTTF Survivor Advisory Board.

Safety Planning and Harm Reduction Protocol

The Safety Planning and Harm Reduction Protocol was created by the Task Force to serve victims and survivors of trafficking to assist service providers in the process of safety planning for clients in a victim-centered, trauma-informed manner.


Victim Referral Guide: Adult Labor Trafficking Victims

The Victim Referral Guide: Adult Labor Trafficking Victims was created by the GNOHTTF's Labor Trafficking Committee. This resource explains what to do if you encounter a suspected or confirmed victim of labor trafficking who is over the age of 18. Updated June 2018.

The Victim Referral Guide: Minor Trafficking Victims was created by the GNOHTTF's Labor Trafficking Committee. This resource explains what to do if you encounter a suspected or confirmed victim of trafficking who is under the age of 18. Updated June 2018. 


Survivor Services Resource Guide

The Human Trafficking Survivor Services Resources Guide was produced by the Greater New Orleans Human Trafficking Task Force and the New Orleans Children's Advocacy Center. This list includes survivor services and organizations for for both labor and sex trafficking of adults and children within the Greater New Orleans community. This is the second version of the guide, and was updated in May 2018.

The Human Trafficking and Disabilities Fact Sheet is a brief overview of the vulnerability of individuals with disabilities. 


Child Sex Trafficking Identification Tool

This Child Sex Trafficking Identification Tool was published by the Louisiana Department of Children & Family Services. It was created by a team of anti-trafficking experts in the Greater New Orleans region including representatives from the Task Force the New Orleans Children's Advocacy Center.
